Hockey
work
Daniella is continuing to carve a space for herself in the sports scene. Taking an unconventional path, she started as a volunteer play-by-play announcer for roller derby, which took her across Canada and the US. From there, Daniella has worked as a game-day host, sideline reporter and play-by-play announcer for sports broadcasts including Saskatchewan Roughriders, USPORTS football and women's hockey, WHL games, SJHL games, Canada West football and the National Lacrosse League. She's also worked as a camera operator for WHL hockey and CFL football, working up to assistant director of the Mosaic Stadium MaxTron crew in 2019.

Making History | Pattison Media's coverage of women's hockey made history as the first time a private company is committing to broadcasting a full season of games for a college women’s ice hockey team in Canada.
Daniella also put her own flair on the job, bringing her DSLR camera to the rink and capturing behind-the-scenes moments used for social media promotion and feature storytelling on huskiefan.ca. The multi-skilled announcer also filmed and conducted post-game interviews and podcast chats during game weekends.
History Again | When Saskatchewan met Manitoba in Winnipeg for the final series of the regular season, it marked the first time in Canada West that both home and away broadcasts were called by women.
Two weeks later, when the teams reunited for the Canada West quarter-final, it marked the first CW playoff series where both home and away broadcasts were called by women.
